Christmas Disco brings festive fun to St John’s

The annual St John’s Christmas Disco returned this December and was once again a huge success, with pupils from across the school enjoying an evening of music, dancing and festive fun.

The event took place in the school hall, which had been transformed with Christmas decorations, lights and a festive playlist chosen by the children. Pupils from Reception through to Year 6 attended in two sessions, giving everyone the chance to take part and enjoy the celebration with their friends.

Children danced to their favourite songs, took part in a few festive party games and enjoyed refreshments including juice, biscuits and a special Christmas treat. A highlight of the evening was the “best festive jumper” competition, which saw plenty of creative and colourful entries.

The disco raised over £500 for the PTA, which will go towards upcoming fundraising goals including playground improvements and outdoor learning resources.

The PTA would like to thank the staff and parent volunteers who helped organise the evening, as well as everyone who supported the event. The Christmas Disco is always a favourite with the children and a wonderful way to celebrate the final weeks of the autumn term.
